A cold, frosty start across central, northern and eastern areas this morning. Quite misty as well with locally dense patches of fog and freezing fog that may take some time to clear from low lying areas. These do clear with good sunny spells developing in many areas. It becomes breezy across south west England and Wales and rather cloudy for much of the day. Expect maximums of 2 to 9 Celsius.
A dry evening to come across Britain. With a good deal of cloud across Northern Ireland, Wales and south west England. Overnight this may be thick enough to produce some patchy bits of rain. Eastern parts of Scotland and England may see fog redeveloping through the evening become more dense overnight with a risk of frost across north east England and Scotland. Expect minimum temperatures of 1 to 8 Celsius.
Morning fog patches lift as it clouds over across much of the United Kingdom. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle across Northern Ireland and near western Scotland and across Wales. In the afternoon the rain spreads in across all of Scotland and northern England, becoming heavier across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. A dull, misty and milder night than of late with rain and drizzle across northern Britain dry and the south dry. A good deal of low cloud and mist will affect western coasts and west facing hills. Very windy in the north and the west. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 12 Celsius.
Very mild and windy with gales across Scotland, north west England and Northern Ireland. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will affect northern and western parts of Britain. A dry day across the south with cloud breaking to give sunnier spells. That rain becomes heavier as it spreads down across the south. Quite windy tonight and again very mild.
