Lots of warm sunshine across southern Europe, but some rain or showers to the north

Saturday
The risk of cloud and some showers for northwest Spain on Saturday, although the rest of Spain and Portugal enjoy fine spells of sunshine. Cloud and rain will affect the north and west of France too, but the south and east will be dry with lots of sunshine to come here. High pressure brings more sunshine across Italy and into Greece and Turkey. Romania and Bulgaria stay warm and sunny too.
Cloud and rain will be troubling the Low Countries, where it may be heavy at times, and this will run into the north of Germany too. Southern Germany and Poland should stay fine with more sunshine throughout. Switzerland will have more sunshine and it should be dry here.
Heavy showers in Denmark and southern Norway, but some heavy rain across central Norway and southern Sweden. Cloud and drizzle through the Baltic States. Northern Norway and northern Sweden should be dry and sunny, with more sunshine to come across Finland.



Sunday
Cloud and showers over northwest Spain. A few heavy showers or thunderstorms forming in central Spain too. Elsewhere in Iberia the day will be dry and sunny as well as hot. More sunshine to come for all but the far north of France. Italy is going to be enjoying a beautiful day with lots of hot sunshine. Greece and Turkey will have lots of sunshine too.
Heavy showers or thunderstorms over northern France, some of them torrential. Plenty of sunshine for most of Germany, but some showers or rain spreading east through Poland. More sunshine in Switzerland and Austria as well as Hungary.
Low pressure over Scandinavia brings a mix of sunshine and showers here. More persistent rain will affect the Baltic States and Finland in the morning, these clearing to heavy showers and thunderstorms. Sunny spells and dry in Sweden, but showers or rain in Norway too.
