Fine, hot and sunny Mediterranean, but more unsettled central Europe

Wednesday
Windy with rain and showers across Britain. Heavy showers are forecast for northern France, Belgium and The Netherlands.
Dry across Denmark with a few showers expected across Norway and Sweden. Lots of warm sunshine across Finland and Russia while heavy showers affect the Baltic States. Most of Poland will be dry. Hot across the Ukraine with sunny spells and a few afternoon thunderstorms. The sunny, hot and humid weather continues across the Czech Republic and the former Yugoslavia. Sunny and very warm as well across Greece, Turkey and Italy.
A few heavy showers will affect northern Spain otherwise hot and sunny across Spain and Portugal. Fine across southern France and the Balearics with heavy showers and thunderstorms across Switzerland and Austria and the far south of Germany. Dry with sunny spells for much of Germany, Hungary and Romania today.



Thursday
A few showers affecting the west of Portugal today, but sunny spells too. Cloud in northern Spain, but the south should be dry with sunny spells. Some heavy and thundery showers across France and the Low Countries. Germany should be dry with variable cloud, but some warm sunshine here as well. Fair in Hungary and Austria, but some thunderstorms in Switzerland.
A fine and hot day in Italy, but some heavy showers forming through the day. A few heavy showers over inland parts of Greece as well, but fine on the coasts with lots of sunshine. More sunshine in Turkey where it should be dry.
Cloud and rain through the Baltic States, some of it heavy. Finland should be dry with lots of sunshine. More sunshine to come across Finland and Denmark as well as Norway and most of Sweden.
