Plenty of warm sunshine across southern Europe, but rain and showers in central and northern areas
Sunday A ridge of high pressure will be bringing fair conditions and lots of sunshine through France and most of Spain and Portugal. It should be dry, although a few heavy showers could affect the high ground of Spain. More sunshine for most of Italy, although there will be torrential thunderstorms over northern Italy. Greece and Turkey will have lots of sunshine and should be dry. A few showers across the Low Countries and Germany, some of these heavy and thundery in central and southern Germany. Further heavy showers or thunderstorms in Poland. Cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting Hungary, Austria and Switzerland. Low pressure over Scandinavia will bring an unsettled day here. Heavy showers in Denmark, with heavier rain in the Baltic States and Finland. A few showers for Sweden with heavier showers in Norway.
 Monday Rain sweeps east through southern Ireland and the southern UK today. Cloud and some drizzle over the far north of France, but some sunshine to the south. Sunshine too through Iberia and into the Mediterranean. Italy and Greece as well as Turkey will be fine and sunny. Heavy showers across Bulgaria and Romania with some heavy showers affecting Poland and the west of Russia. These showers affecting the Baltic States. More persistent rain or showers into Finland, and outbreaks of rain will be affecting central and northern Sweden. Fair for southern Sweden, with a few showers in Denmark. Norway should be fair again with further showers.
