Becoming very warm
Heavy rain into the far west

Monday
Temperatures are once again on the rise today as it becomes very warm in the south. This morning a few showers will affect Scotland and perhaps Cumbria while an area of more persistent and heavier rain runs in across The Western Isles and western parts of Northern Ireland. Fine, dry and sunny across the rest of Britain this morning. Through the afternoon that heavier rain will lie across western Scotland and Northern Ireland. More cloud to be found in the west with central and eastern areas dry and sunny. Strong southerly winds will be blowing across western Britain with gusts to 65 mph across The Western Isles. maximum temperatures of 19 to 25 Celsius.

Monday night
In the evening outbreaks of heavy rain with a risk of thunder are likely from northern Scotland down through the Irish Sea, perhaps just brushing the extreme west coasts of Wales and Cornwall. A fine end to the day across the remainder of Britain. Overnight that rain may affect northern and south west Scotland, Northern Ireland and western Cornwall. Dry with clear spells to the east of this. A warm, humid night to come with minimums of 13 to 20 Celsius.

Tuesday
A hot day in the south and quite warm for much of the country. Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and south western parts of England remain at risk of seeing spells of heavy, thundery rain, although there is some uncertainly in the exact detail. Central, eastern and southern eastern parts of England will have a hot, summery day with hazy spells of sunshine. In the evening those heavy showers may creep further east into central parts of the country. Another warm, humid night. Expect top temperatures of 20 to 30 Celsius.

Wednesday
It continues very warm and the area of heavy, thundery rain tends to linger across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland Wales and the south west of England, but again the specific location is not certain. For the Midlands and eastern and south eastern parts of England it appears to remain dry with some sunshine. Look for high temperatures of 20 to 28 Celsius.
