Brightening up for most

Wednesday
Some sushin to start the day across southern England and southern Wales today as well as in the south of Ireland. Cloud is likely to be increasing through the morning and into the afternoon although there will still be some bright spells. Northwest Scotland is likely to be bright as well with sunny spells, although there may be a few morning showers. Elsewhere a cloudier day with a few spots of rain and drizzle over western facing slopes and coasts. Bright spells my develop to the lee of higher ground. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 15C in southern England.


Wednesday Night
A mostly dry night to come. There will be a fair amount of cloud around but it should be mostly dry. A few spots of rain or drizzle could affect western hills an coasts especially in Scotland. More eastern areas are likely to be drier overall. Lows near 3 to 5C.
 


Thursday
High pressure remains over the UK today. This is going to be brining a dry day for most. There will be some sunny spells developing as cloud breaks, the best of these in the west. Thicker cloud and some spots of rain may affect northern and western parts of Scotland although this rain would only be light. The best on any sunshine in eastern and southern England. Highs at 11 to 17C.


Friday
A front brings some drizzle in northwest Scotland on Friday. Otherwise high pressure remains in control. The bulk of the United Kingdom and Ireland will remain fair and dry under high pressure. Highs of 13 to 18C.
