Damp in east
Heavy showers west

Friday
A damp morning over eastern parts of England. An area of rain will be drifting north to brush eastern Scotland in the afternoon. Elsewhere it should be a mostly dry start to the morning with sunny spells although it will be more cloudy in much of England. Scattered showers affecting western Ireland at first. However, showers will become heavier and more widespread through the day, some of them thundery and with hail. The focus for the heavier showers in Wales, western England and Ireland. Highs at 14 to 17C.


Friday Night
A cloudy night in eastern England and Scotland. There will be some rain affecting much of central and eastern Scotland as well as northeast England. A few heavy showers in central and northern England may last into the early hours before fading. Further showers then follow into western coasts and hills. Lows near 6 to 10C.
 


Saturday
Low pressure will be centred over northern Scotland on Saturday. Cloud and rain affects central and northern Scotland, some of it heavy at times. Bands of showers will be passing through Ireland, England and Wales. The heaviest of these in the west in the morning, tending to transfer eastwards through the afternoon. Thunderstorms are likely. The showers are likely to ease in the south later. Temperatures near 13 to 17C.


Sunday
Low pressure to the west of Ireland on Sunday with higher pressure to the east. Cloud and outbreaks of rain through Ireland and western parts of Scotland. A few showers in central and northern parts of England, but generally drier and brighter as well as warmer in the east and south. Temperatures rising to between a warm 15 to 20C.
