Brighter west

Friday
A cool but fair morning across the UK and Ireland. Good spells of sunshine and these will be lasting during the morning, although there wil be some broken cloud floating around. Increased winds and some rain into western ireland later this morning. This rain then edges into western and central Scotland through the afternoon and evening with the winds continuing to increase. Staying dry for eastern Scotland, England and Wales, and although cloudier to the west the east will be brighter and drier with sunny spells. Temperatures at 15 to 19C.


Friday Night
A windy night to come across Scotland, western England, Wales and Ireland with gales on coasts. heavy periods of rain in Ireland and western Scotland with lighter rain affecting central and southwest Scotland. Most of England and Wales will be dry with broken cloud, some clearer spells to the east. Lows at 9 to 12C.
 


Saturday
A breezy morning over most of the country with high pressure to the east and low pressure to the west. A front brings cloud and rain across Scotland and Wales and well as southwest England and the east of Ireland. Drier for eastern Wales and the rest of England it will be dry with hazy spells of sunshine. Brighter weather with sunshine and showers following into Ireland. Highs at 15 to 23C.


Sunday
Low pressure is expected ot be to the north of Scotland on Sunday. A front in eastern parts will be producing rain at first although this will be clearing eastwards. Broken cloud and showers then follow from the west. There will be bright or sunny spells between the showers, although always plenty of cloud affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 15 to 19C.
