This is going to be edging eastwards through the day. Heavy showers affecting northern Scotland where they will be falling as snow on the hills. Becoming milder in the west as the rain arrives, but cooler to the east. Highs at 4 to 8C for most, although 11C in southwest England.

Thursday

Eastern areas stay cloudy and rather breezy, although some bright spells may break through in the afternoon. Highs at 7 to 11C.
