UK Forecast - March 09, 2017
Mild and cloudy
Drizzle north & west

Friday
Plenty of cloud and mild conditions across much of the UK and Ireland. Outbreaks of drizzle in western areas, mostly on the hills and coasts where there will be fog patches too. More eastern and southern parts may have a few bright spells at first but it won't be long before cloud increases here. Little change this afternoon with further cloud and some spots of drizzle on the hills of the west and north. A mild day with highs at 7 to 9C in Scotland, 14C in southern and eastern England.

Friday Night
Staying cloudy and mild through tonight. Patchy drizzle over northern and western coasts with fog patches affecting these areas too. Thicker cloud slips east through Scotland and the whole of Ireland bringing more persistent periods of rain, some moderate bursts over the hills. Lows near 7 to 10C.

Saturday
High pressure to the east of the country on Saturday with low pressure to the west. A front extends through northern England, Wales and into southwest England bringing some outbreaks of mainly light rain here. Drier in the southeast, although rather cloudy with some brighter spells coming through. Bright spells in western Scotland and western Ireland and drier here as well. Highs at 10 to 15C.

Sunday
Low pressure develops over the UK on Sunday. This is going to rejuvenate a front bringing some more persistent rain and the risk of heavy bursts too. There is uncertainty over where the most persistent of the rain may be, although at the present time it is likely to be central and eastern areas of the UK that see most of it. Rainfall more showery in the west of the UK and Ireland with the showers gradually fading and brighter weather developing. Highs at 9 to 12C.
