A cold, frosty morning across Scotland with sunny spells. Staying dry here through the afternoon with cloud increasing from the south. A cloudier and milder start to the day across England and Wales. During the morning an area of rain spills in across south west England and south west Wales. In the afternoon this spreads into Northern Ireland, Wales, the South Midlands and the south of England. Expect highs of 5 to 7 Celsius across the north and 7 to 12 Celsius in the south.

Monday Night
In the evening the winds strengthen in the north and the west with gales across the Western Isles. Splashes of light rain to affect Wales and southern parts of England this evening while a more persistent and heavier band of rain runs in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. This rain then affects western parts of Wales and England as well with patchy rain in the south. Expect minimum temperatures of 4 to 11 Celsius.

Tuesday
Unseasonably mild with temperatures well above average across southern England. Another wet and windy day to come across much of the United Kingdom. The rain looks heaviest across northern and western parts of the country. It stays wet through the evening and night with further spells of rain across Britain. The rain will be heavy across northern England and Scotland. Expect high temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius.

Wednesday
By early this morning the rain should have cleared away into the North Sea. With a temporary ridge of high pressure across the country, most parts of Britain will be fine and dry with sunny spells except for a scattering of showers across western coasts. Rather breezy today. Overnight an area of rain moves into Northern Ireland and Cornwall. Dry across the rest of Britain but rather cloudy. Strong winds to affect the west with gales likely. Look for high temperatures of 7 to 11 Celsius.
