UK Forecast - May 01, 2017
Scattered showers
Best sunshine west & north

Tuesday
An east to north-easterly flow across the country. Fairly cloudy for many, but western areas will see a good deal of sunshine - best to the lee of high ground. Areas of showery rain are likely to pass from east to west across England, mostly small amounts of rain, but locally a risk of some heavier bursts for south-eastern counties in the afternoon. The breeze freshening through the day. Highs 11C east, 13 to 15C Midlands, 17C far west.

Tuesday night
Any residual showers will fade overnight inland, although a few may continue around coasts in the far south-east, where it stays largely cloudy. Cloud breaking to give clear spells elsewhere. A breezy night for most places will prevent a frost, but sheltered rural spots in the north & west may fall close to freezing. Lowest temperatures for most 5 to 8C.

Wednesday
A blustery day for all with easterly winds across the British Isles. Strong gusts to the lee of high ground in the west. Most places will be dry, but one or two brief showers are possible, these mainly focused on south-eastern England, perhaps moving across the home counties in the afternoon. Sunshine widespread across west and northern Britain, also much of Ireland. Highs 10C east, 13C central areas, to 16C west.

Thursday
A brisk easterly wind continues as high pressure remains to the north of Scotland. Dry for most areas - the best of the sunshine for western regions. A few showers are possible, mainly in the south-east. Feeling cool on North Sea coasts, at just 10 or 11C. Reaching 13 or 14C in central areas, whilst sheltered spots to the lee of high ground in the west may top out at 17 or 18C.
