Broken cloud and some showers this morning through much of central and southern England. Sunny spells and drier weather in northern England. Showers in southwest England and through western coasts of Wales. Drier for Scotland with some decent sunshine in central and eastern areas. Cloudier for Ireland with some showers in the west and south. Breezy in the west too. This afternoon sees the showers continuing around western and southern coasts and hills. central and eastern areas should be drier and brighter. Windy in the west. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 9C in southern England.


Wednesday Night
A breezy night with some showers. Most of the showers will be in the west and south. Generally dry in the east with clearer skies. Showers affecting western Ireland but drier in the east with clearer skies here. A touch of frost in northern Scotland at 1C but nearer 6C in southern England.
 


Thursday
Low pressure will be situated to the west of Scotland on Thursday. It is going to be a breezy day for most. Showers, most in the west at first, some of these heavy. Scattered showers blowing eastwards during the day. Sunny spells away from the showers. Tending to become cloudier through southern Ireland, southwest England and southern Wales. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 9C in southern England.


Friday
Low pressure remains to the west of Scotland on Friday. Fronts push eastwards bringing heavy rain with them to much of Ireland in the morning, then through Wales, England, central and southern Scotland. Gale frce winds affecting all but central and northern Scotland, the threat of severe gales to the south. Brighter Skies with sunshine and showers following from the west. Highs at 11C in southern England, 5C in northern Scotland.
