Showers for the eastern Mediterranean

Today
Colder across Britain but dry. Rain is expected across northern France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus, western parts of the Ukraine into Romania where it will be mixed with snow. Fine today with sunny spells across the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy and across the Adriatic Region. Fine and sunny as well across Greece with light rain into Bulgaria. Across much of Turkey expect outbreaks of snow with showers across the eastern Mediterranean. Across Portugal, Spain and the e south of France it will be fine, dry and mostly sunny. Heavy snow showers are forecast for Norway with rain and snow in the south of Sweden. Heavier snow is expected across Finland with snow across Russia. Further gales to affect northern Britain, the North Sea into the Baltic.

High pressure centred over France will give a good deal of settled weather. A fine, dry day to come with sunny spells from Portugal into Spain, France, Britain, Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Some rain is expected across Germany and the Czech Republic with snow to fall across Austria, The Adriatic Region. Heavier snow is forecast across the western Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States, Russia into Finland. Cold but sunny and dry across Norway and Sweden. Some rain, sleet and snow to come across Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and eastern Turkey. Sunny and dry across western Turkey. Very windy across northern Europe with gale force north westerly winds. A strong east wind will prevail through the Straits of Gibraltar.
