Turning colder through central Europe, rain in Spain and Portugal


Thursday
Cloud and rain for Portugal and northwest Spain on Thursday. Dry over central and eastern Spain with some welcome sunshine here. A wet and windy day in Corsica and Sardinia as well as Italy. Greece will be dry with sunny spells and despite being cold Turkey should be dry overall too.
Dry for France with some bright weather. Cold for the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland as a southeast wind sets in. Dry across Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland.
Dry and cold for Denmark through the day. Staying dry with sunshine in the Baltic States. Finland should be dry and bright too as well as being cold. Dry weather across most of northern Sweden and the north of Norway. Southern Norway and southern Sweden having more cloud and some showers at times.


Friday
A wet day in Portugal with strong winds and heavy rain in the west. Further rain in eastern Spain, most of it patchy. Drier in the Balearics with some sunny spells to come here. Showers affecting Italy, some of them heavy at times. Rain affects Greece together with a risk of thunderstorms. Turkey should be dry but chilly and wil be windy in the north.
Chilly in much of northern France but milder to the south. Staying mostly dry here with broken cloud. A few snow flurries on northern coasts of Belgium. Germany should be dry but chilly, and this cold weather extending through Poland where it will be windy too. Hungary and Austria should be dry and chilly, although some rain and snow in Switzerland.
Breezy for Denmark and southern Sweden with the risk of some snow showers. Dry and cold in the baltic States and Finland with some welcome sunshine here. Northern Sweden and northern Norway should be dry although cold too.
