Risk of thunderstorms northern Spain


Tuesday
Areas of thunderstorms are expected to break out for northern Spain, whilst southern Spain and Portugal stays dry and sunny, 30 to 34C. Hot in the south of France, topping 30C. Nearer 23C in northern France, staying generally dry. Lots of sunshine for Italy, the central Med and Greece , near or above 30C.
Outbreaks of rain affect Belgium and southern Germany. Thundery bursts are likely in places, and these extend into central-eastern Europe, for Hungary and the Balkans too. Areas of rain also affect south-east Poland and the inland parts of the Baltic states. 25 to 28C for the Netherlands and northern Germany, where generally dry. Patchy rain for the far south of Norway, otherwise much of Scandinavia is dry beneath high pressure, 24C in southern Sweden; 13C in the far north.


Wednesday
Further thundery outbreaks are likely for northern Spain and Portugal, whilst southern Iberia stays hot and dry. Generally dry for France and Italy, with lots of sunshine across the Mediterranean, near or over 30C for many places. Also hot and sunny again for Greece.
Areas of rain for Belgium and southern Germany. Northern Germany, Poland and Denmark should be dry. A few showers popping up over the Alps. Unsettled for central & south-eastern Europe, with slow-moving thundery downpours developing. Patchy rain lingers around southern Norway, and the Baltic states keep a risk of rain, which extends to Finland. Much of Sweden stays dry, warm again in the south, into the mid-20s Celsius.
