Rain and wind in Italy, unsettled for western France too


Wednesday
During Wednesday and it is, overall, low pressure that will continue to dominate the weather across most of Europe. The exception to this will be a region of higher pressure across parts of Poland, Belaurs and the Ukraine where drier, sunnier and rather warm. Elsewhere though and it is low pressure that dominates across much of the British Isles bringing cool and unsettled conditions, while rain and showers continue to move northwards across much of Scandinavia.
France will see some drier weather, especially southern and eastern areas, but more northern and western areas of France will turn wet later in the day, while cool and showery conditions continue across Spain and Portugal. Low pressure moving northwards out of Africa will bring some very warm and humid conditions to Italy but also with some heavy rain and thunderstorms too. Some sunny and warm weather is forecast across more eastern areas of the Med, especially across Greece and Turkey but some afternoon thunderstorms are possible.

Thursday
A breezy but dry day in northern Spain. Elsewhere it will be dry with good spells of sunshine. The Balearics will be dry with more sunshine. Unsettled in Corsica and Sardinia as well as much of Italy with strong winds and rain here. Cloud and patchy rai in western Greece although dry to the east. Turkey should be dry with more sunshine.
Fair with good spells of sunshine in much of France. Cloudier to the far south with strong to gale force winds here. The Low Countries and much of northern Germany will be dry with lots of snushine. Periods of rain affecting the east and south of Germany as well as much of Poland. Switzerland, Austria and Hungary will be cloudy overall with some patchy rain.
Denmark will be bright and dry with good spells of sunshine. Cloud and rain in southern parts of Sweden. The Baltic States will be cloudy and damp although dry with sunny spells in Finland. Northern Sweden will be dry with sunny spells. Showery periods of rain in southern Norway but dry and bright to the north.
