Rain in the central Mediterranean, mostly fair in central Europe


Thursday
Cool and showery weather is set to continue across much of Iberia, including Spain and Portugal where some further cold nights are possible. More central and eastern areas of Europe will become drier after the unsettled weather of Wednesday, this particularly noticeable through central Europe where a mainly dry day is likely with some sunshine too.

Denmark and up into parts of Scandinavia will be more unsettled, as low pressure arrives bringing wet and windy conditions along with Sweden too, but some significant snowfall totals are possible across the Scandinavia mountains through the day.


Friday
A fair morning in Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. There could be some showers in northern parts of Spain. The Balearics may have heavy showers and will be breezy and cool. Further showers and rain affecting central and southern Italy as well as Corsica and Sardinia. Greece should be dry with sunny spells and it will be remaining dry and sunny in Turkey too.
A band of showery rain pass through central and eastern France but some brighter weather follows to the west. The Low Countries may have a few showers, but cloud and rain across Germany with these heading into Poland where it will be windy too. Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland will be brighter with sunny spells and a few showers.
Breezy with showers across Denmark. Staying windy too in the baltic States with showers or longer spells of rain. Broken cloud and a few showers in Finland with similar weather in Sweden. Norway will have more persistent showers, some heavy and wintry.
