Wednesday
Increasing cloud and damp conditions through Ireland and western Scotland on Wednesday morning. Dry for much of the rest of Scotland, England and most of Wales with some bright or sunny spells. Becoming wetter through western Scotland, Wales and southwest England this afternoon. Some heavy bursts of rain over the hills of eastern Ireland and western Scotland. Turning drier in the far west of Ireland later. Dry too across much of central, eastern and southern England with highs at 13 to 19C.

Wednesday Night
A band of showery rain edges eastwards through the UK overnight. There will be a few heavy bursts of rain at times over the hills in the west. Wetter too for the north of Scotland where rain could be heavy. Drier in the far southeast of England and in Ireland as well. Breezy in the east with lighter winds to the west. Lows near 7 to 10C.
 

Thursday
A front extends north to south through the UK on Thursday, edging slowly eastwards. The front has cloud and bursts of rain associated with it, some of them heavy and mainly affecting southern and central areas in the morning, then into northern England and eastern Scotland through the afternoon. Drier weather in the far southeast with broken cloud and milder here. Turning drier in the west of the UK with sunny spells although some rain and showers pushing back into western Ireland later. Highs at 21C in he southeast, 14 to 17C elsewhere.

Friday
High pressure stays to the east on Friday with lower pressure to the west. There will be a weak front in western areas with some showery outbreaks of rain in western Scotland, western Wales and western England as well as eastern Ireland. More eastern and southern areas tending to stay dry with sunny spells and drier conditions. Breezy in Ireland with broken cloud and mostly dry. Highs at 14 to 19C.
