A ridge of high pressure influences the country, bringing a fair day for many places. Early drizzle in the south-east will fade. A lot of cloud cover is left over from previous days, but some sunshine should break through, best in the east. A warm front moves into the north-west, thickening cloud, and producing drizzly rain for western Scotland. A west to north-westerly breeze. Highs 14 to 17C north-west, 20 to 22C south-east.

Saturday night
Fronts moving in from the Atlantic bring outbreaks of rain to Ireland into the evening, spreading to Wales & north-west England, becoming persistent on western hills for a few hours into the night. Small amounts of rain or drizzle will pass south-eastwards across central Britain overnight, with cloudy skies for most places. Murky in the south-west. A westerly breeze for all, windy in northern Scotland. Lows 9 to 13C, or milder south.

Sunday
A weakening cold front lies across the English Channel, leaving a zone of patchy rain which will fade. Fairly cloudy overall, although some breaks developing, best toward the east. Much of Wales, central & northern England should stay dry all day. Showers for western Scotland, drier toward the east. Light passing showers for Northern Ireland. A westerly breeze, strongest in the north where feeling cool at 13 to 16C. Highs 19 to 22C south.

Monday
High pressure to the south of Britain. A westerly breeze, strongest in northern areas. Many places dry, with sunny spells best in east & north-eastern areas. Drizzly showers in the west & north-west, locally frequent in western Scotland. Mostly cloudy in the west, and rather dull in the south-west. Low pressure west of Ireland may see a more organised area of rain or drizzle spread from the west later. Highs 17 to 22C.
