Another cold day
Cloudier in the west

Friday
Another cold day to come on Friday. There will be cloud in the east where there could be an odd flurry of snow. Thicker cloud through Ireland with some spots of rain and drizzle. Fair for most other areas with sunny spells. The afternoon sees sunny spells for many and it stays cold. Cloud thickens in Ireland with outbreaks of rain here. Always the chance of some more cloud on eastern coasts. Highs at 3 to 5C for most, 7 to 9C on Ireland.

Friday Night
A chilly night ahead. Cloud increases fro the west with the winds picking up too. Periods of rain crossing Ireland and reaching the west of Wales by Saturday morning. Dry for most with temperaturs down to 0 to -3C overall, but 7 to 8C in Ireland and mild in the far west of Scotland and southwest England too.

Saturday
A cold and windy start to Saturday morning. Fronts will be edging eastwards bringing rain across Ireland and ito the west of the UK. Eastern areas should be starting dry and cold. As the rain advances eastwards it is likely to be turning to snow for a time over northern England and Scotland, elsewhere it will be wet. More heavy rain follows to the west with the winds to gale force as milder air arrives. Highs at 3C in the east, 14C in Ireland, west Wales and southwest England.

Sunday
A showery southwest flow develops through Sunday with low pressure northwest of Scotland. This is going to be bringing a mix of sunshine and showers with milder weather for most areas. The showers tending to be affecting western and southern coasts and hills. Perhaps turning to more persistent rain over southern areas of England later. Highs at 6 to 9C.
