Monday
A weak ridge of high pressure holds on over the eastern half of the UK on Monday. This brings a mostly dry day though cloud will build from the west as an area of low pressure approaches Ireland. An overcast day in Ireland and the west of the UK with outbreaks of rain for northwestern Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Dry and bright for the eastern UK though it will become increasingly cloudy. Some showers may develop over southern England and south Wales through the afternoon. Brightest to the southeast. Highs at 21 or 22C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland, more widely 16 to 20C.

Monday Night
Cloud continues to build from the west overnight and outbreaks of rain spread across Northern Ireland, the northern part of Ireland, Scotland, the north of England and northern Wales. Breezy in the northwest too. Clearest skies will be over southern Ireland, the southwest of England and Wales and for Shetland. Overnight lows at 8 to 14C, mildest to the west.
 

Tuesday
Low pressure to the northwest brings a mostly cloudy day for Ireland and the UK. Early morning rain over the northern half of Ireland, Scotland, the far north of Wales and northern England will ease leaving showers for many. A brighter day for southern Ireland and southwestern parts of the UK with central and southern parts of England staying dry. High temperatures widely at 15 to 21C, 22 to 23C in southeast England and southern Ireland. Cooler in northern Scotland.

Wednesday
Outbreaks of showers and rain for much of Ireland and the UK as low pressure is located to the west of Ireland. Most of the rain will be showery though it may be rather heavy at times for western parts of the UK. Cloud and rain clearing from the west later to leave a mostly dry and bright evening here. High temperatures generally ranging from 15 to 21C, cooler for northeast Scotland at just 13 or 14C. Warmer in southern England at 22 to 24C.
