Sunday A mixed day of sunny spells and scattered, blustery showers on Sunday although the winds not quite as strong as Saturday. Showers are most likely in western and southern areas while central and eastern areas are drier with the best of the sunshine here. Showers are likely to be heavy and quite lively for some with hail and thunder expected. Maximum temperatures range from 6 to 10C.
Sunday night Cloud and rain spread in from the southwest overnight from Sunday into Monday with rain affecting much of Ireland, England and Wales as well as western parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland by daybreak on Monday. A dry night for eastern parts of Scotland and northeast England and skies will stay clear here too. Overnight lows range from 3 to 8C for most.
Monday Outbreaks of rain and sleet clear to the east from most areas through the day as low pressure passes eastward across the country. Drier, brighter conditions follow from the west. Strong winds affect the far south and Irish Sea coasts. A wetter day across Scotland with hill snow falling here. Drying up towards the evening for most. Highs at 5 to 7C in the north; 10 to 13C across Wales, southeast Ireland and much of England.
Tuesday An area of low pressure will track across southern Ireland, central and southern England and Wales on Tuesday. This brings the threat of some heavy rain to the south though most of the rain elsewhere will be light and patchy. Brighter and colder for Northern Ireland and Scotland as well as the far north of England with some showers affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 10 or 11C in the far south of England, 4 to 7C for most elsewhere.
