Broken cloud
Best sun in west

Thursday
High pressure brings dry weather on Thursday for most. The morning may have some cloud in the east at first, the risk of a few spots of drizzle here. This fades and then all areas become drier with sunshine. The best of the sunshine in northern and western areas throughout the day. Always the risk of a few bits of cloud affecting eastern and central areas of the country. Highs at 17C on eastern coasts, more generally 20 to 22C.

Thursday Night
Cloud in central and northern Scotland tonight. More cloud drifting into eastern parts of England and perhaps drifting into the Midlands and southern areas too. Most clear skies in northern and western England as well as Wales. Lows at a cold 6C in northern England, southern Scotland and parts of Wales, 9C in the east and south.

Friday
More cloud in northern and eastern areas on Friday as high pressure remains in control. This cloud breaks, sunny spells then develop. The best sunshine in northern and western areas where it is going to be remaining dry. Highs at 23C in southern and western parts of England and Wales, but cooler in the cloud to the north and east at 17 to 19C.

Saturday
A large area of high pressure to the east of the UK on Saturday. This is going to be bringing some cloud to eastern areas, perhaps the chance of a few spots of drizzle in the morning, most in eastern Scotland. Further cloud in southern Ireland and perhaps over southern coasts of England. Elsewhere it is going to be brighter with some good spells of sunshine. Highs at 17C in eastern Scotland and eastern England, nearer 20 to 23C in the west.
