Thursday Any sunny skies will progressively become cloudier through the morning with outbreaks of rain pushing eastwards as the next Atlantic frontal system moves towards the country. Becoming wetter and winder across Scotland with outbreaks of rain, some heavy for a time, and across Northern Ireland before clearing here. Patchy rain expected across England and Wales, though many further south will see nothing at all. Highs at a mild 7 to 13C.
Thursday Night Overnight, the band of rain will continue to push eastwards across central and eastern England, clearing by dawn, while turning drier and clearer from the west. Showers and or longer spells of rain still expected across much of Scotland. Lows at 3 to 8C.
Friday Low pressure drifts northeastwards with a ridge of higher pressure building on Friday bringing a drier day for most and sunshine for a time. Windy across northern Scotland with showery rain gradually easing and clearing from northern regions though always the risk of some scattered showers. Rain and strong winds return to Ireland, Wales and southwest England by evening. Highs at 6 to 11C.
Saturday A deep and broad area of low pressure sweeps in wet and windy weather from the west on Saturday. Fronts passing east taking heavy periods of rain with them. Brighter, blustery conditions following the rain from the west, some heavy showers on western coasts and hills, perhaps wintry. Highs at 7 to 12C.
