A fair and chilly day ahead. There will be sunny spells for many the best of them in the west. Scattered showers affecting eastern coasts. Some thicker cloud could be across the far south of England at first, but this breaking with bright or sunny spells developing here. Breezy throughout in southern areas. This afternoon sees conditions staying mostly dry with showers tending to fade. Highs at just 10C on eastern coasts, 13C in the sunnier west.


Wednesday Night
Clearing skies this evening and overnight. Staying breezy in the far south of England. There will be a touch of frost in Wales as well as rural parts of England and Ireland. Cloudy in the far north of Scotland with some spots of rain here. The rain also affecting Shetland and Orkney with breezier weather here too. Lows at 0C in rural parts, 6C in northern Scotland.
 


Thursday
Pressure stays generally high over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. The brisk northeast flow brings stronger winds to the far south of England with some showers over southeastern coasts and hills. Sunnier skies for much of the rest of England, Wales and Ireland. Increasing cloud in central and northern Scotland bringing some spots of rain and drizzle. The cloud increases in Northern Ireland and northern England too. Highs at 11 to 15C.


Friday
A weak cold front affects northern Scotland on Friday giving cloud and some spots of rain. These may affect northwest Scotland too. Other places should be dry with sunny spells and little change during the day. A few showers in southeastern parts of England as well as East Anglia. The best sunshine in western areas of England and Wales. Highs at 16C in the sunshine in southern England, 11C in northern Scotland.
