Fog patches Monday morning over parts of the Midlands, Wales, southern and southeast England. These may be dense and could tak until late morning to clear some areas. When they have gone the morning should be brighter for many, although always more cloud in Wales, southwest and northern England. Rather cloudy to for Scotland and Ireland, a few spots of rain in northern Scotland. Staying similar into the afternoon with some sunny spells in central and southern England, cloudier in the north. Highs at 4 to 7C but much milder for Ireland at 11C.

Monday Night
Breezy with outbreaks of rain in northern Scotland overnight, most affecting northwest coasts and hills. Cloud in northern England and the north and west of Ireland. Clearer spells in central and southern England and Wales, some fog patches forming here by the morning. Lows at -3C in central and southern England and Wales, 0C in northern England, 5C in the cloudier parts of Scotland and Ireland.

Tuesday
A ridge of high pressure extending through the British Isles on Tuesday. Some morning fog patches across England and Wales, a few of them dense. They should clear slowly to leave bright or sunny spells. Dry for other areas of England and Wales with some sunny spells. Moe cloud in Ireland and Scotland, especially in the north and west with showers. A few showers in western Scotland too. Breezier in northern Scotland. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 5 to 7C in England and Wales.

Wednesday
A weak ridge of high pressure remains over the south of England on Wednesday morning which will allow some early mist and fog patches. A front brings rain across Scotland and northern pats of Ireland in the early morning, reaching northern England and the south and east of Ireland as well as north Wales by midday. The rain turning more showery as it crosses East Anglia, the Midlands and Wales. Brighter, colder weather follows to Scotland, Ireland and northern England with a few wintry showers in northern Scotland. Highs at 6 to 8C.
