Wednesday
Rain and murk across the far southeast of England today, this perhaps becoming heavy at times. Plenty of cloud in other areas with some showers affecting western coasts of England and Wales with more patchy rain and breezier weather in western Ireland and western Scotland. Some brighter skies developing through eastern Scotland and many western parts of the UK and eastern Ireland this afternoon, with these areas increasingly windy. Heavier rain in western Ireland. A mild day with tops at 7C in northern Scotland, 10C in southwest England.


Wednesday Night
A risk of rain affecting eastern and central England this evening and overnight. A further area of rain then pushing eastwards through the course of the night, this affecting a more widespread area. Rain clears from western areas later in the night, although still with showers on western casts and hills. A breezy night for most. Lows at 2 to 4C in the north and west, 7C in other parts.


Thursday
An occluded front brings rain across northern and eastern England on Thursday morning. This clears eastwards into the afternoon. Showers affecting the far south of England with some heavier showers on western coasts and hills. The showers may turn wintry over the hills of western Scotland. Some sunny spells for most other places. Highs at 9C in southeast England, nearer 7C in the west.


Friday
Low pressure to the west of Ireland on Friday. Fronts spreading northwards through the country. This brings cloud and rain, most of it in the west. A risk of gales, especially in the west and south with low cloud shrouding the hills here. Northeastern parts of Scotland and eastern England start the day dry, but then wind and rain arriving. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern and western areas.
