Some morning mist and fog patches, but these will be clearing quickly to leave the day fair and dry with sunny spells for most. Showers in western Scotland will fall as snow on the hills, these tending to fade this afternoon. Increasing cloud in southern Ireland and southwestern parts of England and Wales brings rain to the far south of Ireland by midday. This then reaches southwest England and southern Wales by this evening. A cooler day for England, Wales and Ireland. Temperatures rising to 5C in northern Scotland, 9C in southwest England.

Tuesday Night
A wet and windy night for many as an area of rain crosses Ireland, Wales and England, reaching southern Scotland by he morning. Heavy rain is possible which may lead to localised flooding for a time. Drier and cold in central and northern Scotland with a frost here. Lows near -3C in central Scotland, 2C in northern England, 5 to 9C elsewhere.
 

Wednesday
An area of low pressure passes east through the UK on Wednesday. Rain in the morning, heavy for many parts of Wales, western and northern England as well as southern Scotland. A risk of snow for a time over the hills of southern Scotland. Dry in northern Scotland although rather cloudy. Brighter weather will be spreading fro the west through the morning and into the afternoon with some bright or sunny spells developing, although these interspersed with showers. Highs at 13C in southern England, 3C in northern Scotland.

Thursday
A southwest flow developing on Thursday. Fronts will be passing eastwards bringing cloud and rain into Ireland early in the morning, then Scotland during the morning and afternoon. Western coasts and hills of Wales and England also seeing more cloud and drizzle, this turning to rain. Increasing cloud elsewhere with some spots of drizzle and parts rain in the Midlands and southern England, eastern areas tending to be drier. Highs at 13C in southern England, 9C in northern Scotland.
