Thursday Scattered showers affecting northern and eastern Scotland this morning, these drifting down the coasts of eastern England. It will be a cold morning for all with a widespread frost at first. There will then be plenty of sunshine in many areas, the best of this in central and western parts of the UK and Ireland. Little change for the afternoon with more cool weather and plenty of sunshine. However, cloud increases in northern Scotland as a front approaches. A cool day at 4 to 6C.
Thursday Night Some low cloud and drizzle or light rain affecting northern and central Scotland tonight. Other parts of the UK and Ireland will be dry with mostly clear skies. A frost will be forming and there may be one or two mist or fog patches by morning. Lows near -3 to 1C for most, but 5C in the cloud in northern Scotland.
Friday High pressure over the UK and Ireland on Friday. There may be a few mist and fog patches in the morning over England and Wales although there clearing quickly to leave good spells of sunshine. More cloud in northern and western Scotland as well as Ireland. A few spots of drizzle over western coasts of Scotland and northern Ireland with little change through the day. Highs at 6 to 8C.
Saturday High pressure is expected to be centred over the south of England on Saturday. There may be some morning mist and fog patches, these slowly clearing to leave broken cloud and bright or sunny spells. A weak front affecting northwest Scotland bringing some low cloud and patchy rain. Drizzle may affect western Ireland too. Highs at 6 to 8C, but 10C in the far north of Scotland.
