Wednesday
A damp morning through southern Ireland, Wales and southern England, some low cloud shrouding the hills and coasts. Drier and cloudy through much of central and northern England and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Some showers developing in Northern Ireland and Scotland. More rain this afternoon over much of the southern half of Ireland, Wales and southwest England, with further bursts of rain in that far south of England. Scattered showers continue over the Pennines and southern and central parts of Scotland. The best of any sunshine in the far north of Scotland. Highs at 20C in the far south of England, 15 to 18C for most other areas.

Wednesday Night
Periods of rain tonight across much of Ireland, England and Wales. The rain could be heavy at times, most probably in Wales and northern England. Mist and fog affecting many areas. Drier for Northern Ireland and Scotland, staying dry here. Lows at 16C in southern England, 8C in central Ireland.
 

Thursday
A shallow area of low pressure passing through England and Wales on Thursday. This brings another cloudy and damp day. Further periods of rain, most of it likely in the Midlands and northern England. Eastern Scotland could see some heavy showers or longer spells of rain developing into the afternoon. Eastern Ireland will be seeing outbreaks of rain too, whilst western Ireland and the west of Scotland should be dry. Highs at 21C in southeast England, more widely 15 to 19C.

Friday
Low pressure clears into the North Sea on Friday as a ridge of high pressure builds over Ireland. There will be further showers for many and it stays breezy and cool at first. Showers may fall as longer spells of rain in the east in the morning, some of them heavy and thundery. The showers tending to fade in the west where there will be more sunshine, especially in the afternoon. Highs at 14 to 20C.
