High pressure is to the east of the UK on Thursday. A weak front across Ireland will be bringing cloud and some spots of rain, these could affect the far west of Wales and southwest England too. Elsewhere a fine morning with the best sunshine in the east. This afternoon brings the risk of scattered showers in Scotland, northern England, central and southern England as well as Wales. Further showery bursts of rain in central and northern Ireland. Tending to be dry to the southeast. Highs at 22C in central and eastern areas, 18C in Ireland and Scotland.

Thursday Night
Showers fade through the evening. Skies are likely to be clear and it should be dry for most. A few mist patches by the morning, mostly in northern England. More cloud in northwest Scotland bringing some drizzle to western coasts. Lows around 7 to 10C.

 
 
 

Friday
High pressure and a slack pressure flow remains over the UK on Friday. This brings a warm day to many areas with good spells of sunshine. There is a risk of a scattering of heavy and thundery showers breaking out over England and Wales as well as Ireland. Fronts over northern Scotland bring more cloud here with outbreaks of rain. Low cloud and the most persistent rain in northwest Scotland. Highs at 27C in southeast England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Saturday
A cold front slipping south through Scotland on Saturday bringing cloud and rain with it. These outbreaks of rain reach northern England into the afternoon as wel as Northern Ireland. A few showers developing in southern Ireland, Wales and much of England after having been a fine start to the day with sunny spells. The showers could be thundery in places. Staying dry in southeast England. Turning colder across Scotland and northeast England with highs at 7 to 9C, milder elsewhere and still warm in the south at 25C.
