UK Forecast - July 24, 2017
Dry for most Tuesday
Rain Wednesday

Tuesday
Slack pressure across the British Isles brings a fair day for many with light winds. Variable cloud and sunny spells, generally best in the west & south-west. Eastern Britain is likely to hold onto more cloud. Chance of an isolated shower over the hills by afternoon. Feeling cool on eastern coasts with a brisk northerly breeze for East Anglia, where patchy drizzle is possible. Highs 19 to 22C, locally 24C south-west.

Tuesday night
Most of Britain will stay dry with clear spells. Patchy rain in northern Scotland. High cloud will tend to thicken from the west. Fronts encroaching in from the Atlantic bring rain to Ireland overnight, and before dawn reaching Cornwall & Devon, west Wales and south-west of Scotland, setting in widely across western Britain first thing on Wednesday. Freshening southerly winds in the west. Lows 10 to 14C, cooler some Scottish glens.

Wednesday
Starting wet in western regions, and rain spreads quickly eastwards to most of Britain, although eastern England should stay dry until about midday. The heaviest and most persistent rain affects the hills in the west, whilst it should become patchy for central-southern counties. Brightening skies will develop from the south-west into the afternoon. A few showers later for Northern Ireland. Blustery winds. Highs 17 to 23C, warmest south-east.

Thursday
Low pressure centred toward the north-west of the British Isles produces changeable and blustery conditions for the west & north-west of Britain, plus much of Ireland - a mix of bright spells and showers, these locally frequent. For central, eastern & southern England it should be often dry, with just passing light showers and spells of sunshine. A south-westerly breeze. Highs 16 to 19C north & west, 20 to 23C south & east.
