Dull, damp north
Drier to the south

Tuesday
A cloudy and damp start to the morning over much of northern England, Scotland and parts of the north of Wales as well as Northern Ireland. Most of the rain should be light and patchy and there will be mist and fog shrouding the windward facing hills in the west. Drier and brighter for the rest of England, Wales and Ireland. This afternoon is warm with bright spells and a fair amount of cloud over much of England, Wales and southern Ireland, some low cloud on western coasts. Continuing patchy rain in northern England and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, again with some fog on hills and coasts. A chance of a light shower in southern England later. Highs at 24C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.


Tuesday Night
Cloudy and damp in the north at first, drier to the south. Later in the night an area of showery, thundery rain is expected to be tracking eastwards across much of northern Ireland, north Wales, northern England and Scotland. The far south of England and southern Ireland should stay dry. A muggy night at 13 to 17C.
 


Wednesday
Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Scotland on Wednesday as a warm front extends west to east. A showery trough is expected to bring some thundery bursts of rain ot much of central and eastern England early in the day, before turning increasingly showery through the morning and into the afternoon. Some brighter spells. Probably drier in western England and Wales, although even here there is the risk of a shower. Some cloud and patchy rain in western Ireland, brighter in the east. Highs at 24C in southern England, 20C in Scotland, 22C in Ireland.


Thursday
A slack pressure flow brings sunny spells on Thursday morning, although showers will be developing quickly. The showers may be heavy into Thursday afternoon and they could be sundry to. Fronts may bring more cloud and outbreaks of showery rain into Ireland as well as western Scotland, although this fading and becoming brighter. It is going to be very warm day with temperatures up to 26C in southern parts of England, 22C in Ireland and 21C in southern Scotland.
