A fine morning for most on Thursday. Plenty of sunshine, the best of this in central and eastern areas. Scattered showers affecting western coasts of Wales. More persistent showers in western Scotland in a brisk southwest wind. Cloud increases through Ireland during the late morning, this cloud spilling into Wales, western Scotland and western England this afternoon. Turning wet in Ireland with rain through the afternoon. Highs at 7 to 11C.


Thursday night
A breezy night ahead. Cloud and outbreaks of rain across Ireland and the west of the UK this evening. The rain then edging eastwards through much of northern England, Wales, central and western England. Further rain in western Scotland and western Ireland. Staying dry over East Anglia and the southeast. A mild night at 5 to 9C.
 


Friday
Low pressure to the west of Ireland on Friday. A windy day, especially in the west with some gales here. Wet in Scotland, Wales and western England as well as Ireland. A risk of localised flooding in central and southwest Scotland. Drier in central and eastern England although staying rather cloudy here. Some drizzle affecting high ground of southern England. Highs at 10 to 13C.


Saturday
A front over eastern England at first, this bringing some morning rain which will be clearing into the North Sea. Becoming brighter from the west with sunny spells, but also some showers on western coasts and hills. Rain may linger for a time in the far southeast as the showers continue over western coasts and hills. Sunny spells and drier elsewhere. Further showers in western Ireland, drier and brighter in eastern Ireland. Highs at 12C in the southeast, 6 to 8C in the west.
