Friday
Fronts passing west across the UK on Friday. These bring plenty of cloud to much of England and Wales as well as Ireland and producing some showers and outbreaks of rain. More persistent rain affecting western and southern Ireland. Drier weather in Scotland with some bright or sunny spells, the best in the north. A few showers possible for western and southern Scotland. Highs widely at 13 to 16C: warmer in the sun in northwestern Scotland at 17 or 18C, cooler on eastern coasts at 10 to 12C.


Friday Night
Rain moving into eastern Scotland later in the evening will continue to spread southwestward overnight reaching much of Scotland and the northwest of England by the morning. A band of rain will also edge into eastern England through the night. Showers and rain elsewhere will mostly clear overnight. It will be mostly cloudy with the best chance of clear skies over Northern Ireland and Wales. Overnight lows falling to 5 to 10C.


Saturday
A low pressure trough extends across the country on Saturday. This brings cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain. The showers could be heavy and thundery at times as well as slow moving. A few bright spells between the showers. Showers easing for most into the evening. High temperatures generally ranging from 13 to 18C but cooler in Scotland at just 10 to 14C.
 


Sunday
Low pressure remains on Sunday with a northeast to easterly breeze affecting most areas. Some bright spells but also showers developing, particularly in the west. The showers could turn heavy and thundery at times. Cool in cloudier northern areas at 12 to 15C, warmer in the south at 17 or 18C.
