Tuesday
Severe gales across northern and eastern Scotland and the east of England at first this morning. The winds should ease as the morning progresses. There will be mostly dry conditions once early rain clears into the North Sea, although staying breezy. Bright weather further west and still breezy. A few showers this morning on western facing coasts and hills before cloud thickens this afternoon and the showers become more frequent. Rain may affect western Scotland. Staying windy in the west. Warm overall with tops of 23C in East Anglia, 17C over cloudier western coasts.

Tuesday Night
A small but intense area of low pressure passes over western and northern Ireland tonight. This brings storm force winds of over 60mph to Ireland and western Scotland with gusts well in excess of this. Heavy rain here too. For England and Wales it should be mostly dry except an isolated showers in southern England. Lows at 10 to 14C.
 

Wednesday
A vigorous area of low pressure passes to the northwest of Scotland on Wednesday. This has an area of severe gales associated with it and gusts in excess of 70mph through Ireland and western Scotland with 60 to 70mph winds over northern England and 40 to 50mph gusts further south. The severe gales last all day in northern Scotland. Heavy rai affects Scotland and Ireland in the morning, clearing north. Drier to the south with some sunshine in the east, but a band of rain and showers troubling the west as the winds ease later. Highs at 24C in East Anglia, 12C in northern Scotland.

Thursday
After a cold start in Scotland, another area of low pressure may spin up through Thursday bringing heavy rain and strong winds to much of Ireland and the UK, passing from west to east. Winds may be excess of gale force with even stronger gusts. Mild to the south and east, but turning colder in the north and west with sunny spells and scattered showers. Highs at 24C in the southeast, 11C in northern Scotland.
