Saturday
Rain will affect many areas throughout today, and is likely to persist for several hours, tending to fade into the afternoon. However, showers will spread from the south-west into central areas later. Snow over the mountains, mainly Scotland. Cloudy skies overall, but some brighter spells may break through for central & south-eastern areas, where it stays more frequently dry. Breezy around coasts in east & south. Highs 5 to 8C.


Saturday night
Showery rain will drift north-eastwards during the evening, clearing into the North Sea overnight. Becoming dry for many, although further patches of rain or drizzle are likely to spread into the south-west. Mostly cloudy, but some clearances may develop. Light south-westerly winds. Chilly, lowest temperatures 0 to 3C, or locally dipping below freezing in north.
 


Sunday
Fronts move eastwards across central & southern Britain, bringing cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain or drizzle. Persistent rain across Ireland is likely to increasingly spread to Wales & south-west England. A southerly breeze, strongest in the south-west. Meanwhile, Scotland & north-east England stay dry and bright with some sunshine and light winds. Temperatures 5 to 9C, or up to 11C in the south-west.


Monday
Mild air spreads across the country from the south-west. Rain or drizzle, persistent in some areas, mostly toward the west, turning heavier across Northern Ireland and western Scotland later. Cloudy for most, driest and brightest toward the east & north-east. A strong southerly breeze, may increase to gale force in the north-west later. Around 7 or 8C in the far north, but up to 10 to 12C for most.
