Monday
Very windy across Britain today with gusts near 50 mph around Irish Sea coasts. Eastern parts of Scotland and England will start fair and dry with some brightness. Outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain in the west will push eastward into all parts of Britain during the morning with the rain fairly light in the south. Into the afternoon further outbreaks of rain are expected with the heaviest rain across Wales and north west England. There will be a good deal of mist and murk over the hills. Expect maximums of 15 to 17 Celsius.


Monday Night
It will stay very windy with hill fog through the evening and night. In the evening a pulse of heavy rain tracks across northern Wales into north west England and western Scotland. Mainly dry in the south. Overnight that area of heavy rain is forecast across north western parts of England and much of Wales. A mild night to come with minimum temperatures of 12 to 15 Celsius.


Tuesday
Warmer today and it continues very windy. A largely dry day across East Anglia and the south east of England. Elsewhere it will remain misty and murky with spells of moderate to heavy rain. Light rain is likely across The Midlands, East Anglia and the south east. The rain lingers here into the night and may turn a bit heavier. To the north it will be dry through the evening and night. Expect highs of tops of 15 to 23 Celsius.


Wednesday
Not quite as warm today but still above normal. A less windy day as well. Outbreaks of heavy rain across central and southern parts of England in the morning are forecast to drift northward in the afternoon reaching all but the far north of England. The northward progression of the rain is subject to change. Across Northern Ireland and Scotland expect a day of sunshine and showers. The rain may turn lighter in the evening affecting central and the eastern half of England. Overnight it looks mainly dry across Britain except for some rain across north west Scotland and near to North Sea coasts. Expect highs of 12 to 18 Celsius.
