Tuesday
Tuesday sees a slack pressure flow over most of the country. A shallow area of low pressure will bring spells of rain push across Wales, clearing from the south through the morning here. Southern and central parts of England will also see rain, heavy and persistent for some regions and possibly thundery too. Heaviest rainfall being emphasised further east during the afternoon, in particular Lincolnshire. Some bright spells but also scattered showers across Ireland and parts of north Scotland. Drier yet rather cloudy elsewhere. Highs at 17 to 21C for many, although under the cloud and rain across Wales as well as central and southern regions of England highs will struggle to reach above 15C.

Tuesday Night
Rain will continue to gradually clear from central England and move into more northern regions of England through the evening. Rain still falling heavy though further east. As the night progresses the rain should become lighter and more patchy. Elsewhere, largely dry with clear spells. Some patchy rain will push into western coasts of Ireland and the Western Isles. Lows in the north and west falling to 7 or 8C, further south and east 11 or 12C.

Wednesday
A cloudy and in places wet or damp start to eastern and some central counties of England but this should clear quickly with sunny spells developing. Further west weak occluded front drifts east through Scotland and Ireland bringing some outbreaks of rain, mainly in the west. Elsewhere the day is likely to be mainly dry with sunny spells. A reasonably mild day is expected although perhaps cooler towards eastern coasts. Highs at 17 to 23C.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure builds across the British Isles through Thursday. It will be a fair day for most with broken cloud and some sunny spells, although there could be some low cloud affecting eastern coasts. Cloud across Northern Ireland and Ireland while thickening across Scotland as rain pushes in here later. A relatively mild day once again with highs at 17 to 24C.
