Sunday
Low pressure is to the east on Sunday while a ridge of high pressure builds into the west. The winds turn more northwesterly through the British Isles bringing a brighter, cooler day with some showers. The morning sees most showers across Wales, and around the coasts of eastern England, northern Scotland and western Ireland too. Strong winds for many, touching near gale force for southern coastal parts of England. Showers will fade through the day with most areas seeing a dry and bright afternoon. It will remain cloudy over the north of Scotland. Winds will ease into the evening. Highs near 10 or 11C in southern England, 4 to 5C across Scotland.

Sunday Night
Sunday night will start clear for most however some mist and fog patches are likely to develop as both temperatures and wind speeds drop, particularly in the west. Clear skies will remain in the east where some groundfrost could develop over Scotland and the north of England. Overnight lows near freezing for much of Scotland, 4 to 9C everywhere else.
 

Monday
High pressure continues to build from the south into Monday. There may be some mist and fog patches on Monday morning particularly for western areas which may potentially lifting to low cloud. Monday may remain rather overcast for the west with lots of cloud throughout the day. It should be a dry and bright day for the east. A band of cloud, rain and drizzle will move across the northern half of Ireland through the afternoon reaching western parts of Scotland, Wales and the north of England by the early evening. Highs at 4C in northern Scotland where it will be cold, 10C in southwest England.

Tuesday
High pressure moves east over France while low pressure starts to move into the west. It will be a misty morning for eastern areas while thicker cloud will build from the west as a frontal system moves in. Rain will spread in from the west too covering much of Ireland by the early afternoon and reaching western portions of Scotland, Wales and England by the early evening. Highs at 7 to 11C.
