Hot with sunny spells
Rain into the north

Sunday
Rather hot and humid across the south today. For England and Wales it will be a fine, dry day with sunny spells but we may see more cloud developing as we go through the course of the day. Largely dry and bright as well for the eastern half of Scotland. A front brings outbreaks of rain in across Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland. Later in the afternoon that rain turns heavier. Expect maximum temperatures of 15 to 18 Celsius for Scotland, and 20 to 26 Celsius across England and Wales.

Sunday Night
In the evening an area of moderate to heavy rain across Northern Ireland turns light and patchy as it affects southern Scotland and north west England. There is a risk of a few heavy showers developing across north east England too. The rest of Britain will have a fine evening. Overnight it will be quite muggy in the south. Rain is expected across parts of northern England, southern Scotland with patchy bits of rain into Wales and south west England. Look out for thunderstorms across parts of eastern England tonight. Expect minimum temperatures of 12 to 18 Celsius.

Monday
It's going to remain unsettled for Monday. Lots of showers are likely to develop across much of Britain. The showers turn heavier in the afternoon, interspersed with dry, sunnier spells. More persistent rain is expected to spill in across Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Still a few showers to come across Britain into the evening. Overnight some rain may reach Cornwall and western Wales before morning. Not quite as hot today or humid with highs of 15 to 22 Celsius.

Tuesday
A wet day to come across Wales, Northern Ireland and much of England. Outbreaks of heavy rain across Wales and the south west spreads up across England and Wales in the afternoon. Drier but with a few showers across Scotland. Quite windy today in the far south of England. The rain tends to linger into the evening as it moves into southern Scotland. A cloudy, misty ad damp night for most parts of Britain with the heavies rain likely across northern England and southern Scotland. Expect highs of 16 to 21 Celsius.
