Thursday
High pressure still main feature on Thursday, keeping things largely settled. Initially a cloudy start across much of southern England and Wales, before the cloud looks to break and sunny spells develop during the afternoon. For Scotland, a wet start across western parts with rain largely and gradually clearing here before more rain pushes into northwestern regions later. Breezy first thing here then winds easing. Elsewhere, mainly dry with developing sunny spells. Highs at 16 to 23C for most, cooler across NW Scotland.

Thursday night
Overnight, it will be mostly dry with clear skies across much of England and Wales. Cloudier further north and west, becoming windy again with some showers hitting western coasts and hills, showers turning heavier and more frequent across NW Scotland later. Lows at 8 to 13C.
 

Friday
A westerly flow on Friday with high pressure to the south and low pressure to the north. Brisk winds and patchy rain affecting northern and western Scotland, western parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Some rain and drizzle across northwest England too as well as parts of north and west Wales. Elsewhere, drier with the best of the susnhine furthest east and south. Highs at a warm 23 or 24C in eastern and central England in any sunshine, 13 or 14C in western Scotland.

Saturday
Higher pressure continues to influence drier and milder conditions in the south and east, while lower pressure sits in the Atlantic. Some patchy rain affecting western parts of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, but a mostly dry day is expected. Some mist and fog patches for many to start but once these lift there will be plenty of sunny spells. Warm again in any sunny spells at 23 or 24C in central and eastern England, 17C over western coasts and hills but a cooler 13C in northwest Scotland.
