Monday
A largely dry and sunny day on Monday as high pressure ridges in over the British Isles from Europe. With this south-easterly flow in the south temperatures will become warm or even hot here. Best of the sunshine across central and southeast England. Northern and western parts of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland will see more in the way of cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle as low pressure sits to the west of Ireland. High temperatures range from 19 to 21C in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland and range between 26 to 28C in the southeast of England.


Monday Night
Overnight, largely dry although outbreaks of rain will become more widespread across northern and central Scotland initially with rain just affecting the far northwest of Ireland, drier elsewhere. This rain will become confined to northern Scotland later with the risk for some patchy light rain and drizzle across southern Scotland parts of west England and Wales. There will be a rather widespread swatch of cloud across the British Isles with the southeast of England seeing the best of any clear spells. A mild night with lows ranging from 16 to 20C in the south and 11 to 15C in the north and west.


Tuesday
A cloudy morning for many with light rain and drizzle over western and southern parts of England, Wales, southern Ireland and southern Scotland. More persistent rain still affecting the far north of Scotland. Largely dry elsewhere. In the afternoon sunny spells will come about for many and with this showers will develop over Ireland and Northern Ireland and in some parts of southern and northern England. Some of these showers could be heavy with the risk of thunder. Plenty of dry conditions elsewhere with an improving scene over northern Scotland. Hot in the south with highs at 29C or even 30C in the southeast, becoming cooler the further northwest you go with highs at 22C in Scotland.


Wednesday
A weak cold front slides southwards down the UK and Ireland through Wednesday. It will bring some light rain at times but mainly just cloudy conditions as it pushes across southern Scotland in the morning and then down through England and Wales as well as Ireland in the afternoon. Behind which high pressure starts to build across northern Scotland. Hot still in the far south with highs at 29C here. It gets progressively cooler the further north you go with highs in northern Scotland at a much cooler 13C.
