Monday
Cloudy, misty and murky with patchy rain perhaps still about across the southeast to start the day on Monday. This eventually clearing off. A chilly yet largely bright start for most other areas, although cloud will gradually thicken from the west as the day progresses. Dry for most as high pressure builds in, but patchy rain is expected to move in across northwest Ireland as well as northern and western regions of Scotland. Becoming breezy here too. Highs at 16 to 21C, cooler towards NW Scotland.

Monday Night
A largely cloudy night but mostly dry, however, light rain and drizzle cannot be ruled out across western coasts and hills in Scotland. Mist and fog patches are also expected to develop. Lows between 7 and 12C.

 
 
 

Tuesday
A ridge of high pressure on Tuesday will bring a largely settled day. After another cool start for many temperatures should recover well, though mist and fog patches are expected through much of the morning, perhaps into the afternoon for some southern regions. Mostly dry, however, some light rain and drizzle may reach far western parts of Scotland with strengthening winds here. Rain turning heavier and more persistent in the northwest overnight. Highs at 17 to 22C.

Wednesday
A dry start for southern areas but cloud will soon thicken here as a band of rain tracks southwards down the country. Further north behind the rain winds will strengthen and it will feel relatively fresh with sunny spells for a time before more rain moves in to northwestern regions. Highs at cool 13 to 16C in the north, 18 to 23C further south.
