UK Forecast - July 10, 2020
Mainly dry weekend
Sunnier on Sunday

Saturday
High pressure builds slowly from the southwest. A west to northwesterly breeze brings variable cloud and a scattering of mostly light showers to northern Britain, these becoming focused on eastern areas by the afternoon, but well scattered. Fairly cloudy but largely dry for the Midlands, Wales and southern England; some sunshine breaking through. A cool start, rising to 17 to 21C by afternoon, warmest southeast.

Saturday night
Generally dry with varied cloud and clear spells overnight. Cloudier toward the northwest, and a little rain or drizzle for northwest Scotland and the Northern Isles, where a westerly breeze remains fresh. Light winds for central and southern Britain and Ireland. A cool night again, with temperatures 10 to 12C in cities, but widely below 10C in the countryside, lows 5 to 7C, locally cooler some valleys.

Sunday
High pressure across the south of Britain will produce a dry, sunny and warm day for much of England, Wales and Scotland. Fronts drifting in from the Atlantic bring thickening cloud for Northern Ireland, and some rain moving into the west, which may extend to western Scotland on a strengthening southwesterly breeze as the day progresses. Temperatures reaching 18 to 22C, but up to 24C in the southeast.

Monday
High pressure to the southeast brings dry weather much of the day for central, south and eastern England. Sunshine will cloud over as fronts spread from the northwest. Rain will already affect Ireland and northwestern Britain early in the day, this rain becoming more widespread into Wales and the north Midlands as the day progreses. A southwesterly breeze strengthening. Highs 17 to 25C, warmest south.
