Sunday
A slow-moving frontal wave lies across east & central England, where pulses of rain will come and go all day, setting for many hours in places, with some heavy falls giving 25-40mm in the day. Meanwhile, pressure builds from the west, leaving Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the west & north of England largely dry with cloud breaking to give sunny spells. A few showers are likely for western Scotland. Much fresher than previous days, highs 11 to 15C, coolest where rain persists.

Sunday night
High pressure builds over the country, allowing most places to stay dry with skies clearing. Rain may linger toward the far south-east. A little rain may return to the far west of Scotland. Some fog patches in central-western England & Wales, also southern Scotland where winds fall light. A touch of frost for rural Wales and northern Britain; lows 0 to 5C here, but nearer 7 to 10C in central and south-east England.

Monday
High pressure extends across Britain, whilst the remnants of a front influences the east. Early rain for East Anglia is likely to clear, with cloud slowly thinning. Otherwise, expect a bright day with a good amount of sunshine. Any early mist will clear. A few showers around the west coasts of Scotland. A southerly breeze freshens for western Britain and Ireland, whilst an easterly breeze affects the English Channel. Light winds elsewhere. Highs 11 to 15C.

Tuesday
Low pressure over the Atlantic will push fronts into Scotland and Ireland, bringing rain and brisk southerly winds. Some rain also reaching Irish Sea coasts of England and Wales, perhaps later patchy rain in the south-west too. Staying largely dry for central regions, although clouding over with local rain or drizzle possible. A chance of fog patches in the morning for eastern England. Temperatures reaching 13 to 17C.
