UK Forecast - July 26, 2021
Rain & showers
Cooler for all

Tuesday
A rather cloudy start to the morning across many parts of the British Isles on Tuesday. There will be some showery outbreaks of rain through Wales and Southwest England, with further outbreaks of rain across western Ireland and much of central and eastern Scotland. Elsewhere a few bright or sunny spells may come through the cloud. Showers are going to have a tendency to become more widespread during the morning with thick cloud affecting parts of western England, Wales and eastern Ireland and here we may find the showers merging to longer spells of rain at times, and possibly becoming thundery. Further thundery showers across Scotland and northern England. A tendency for fewer showers in the far south of England and far south of Ireland and it's here that the best bright or sunny spells may be. Highs at 18C in the cloudier west, 24C in any sunshine in the east.

Tuesday Night
An area of showery rain passing through northern England, the Midlands and parts of southern England late on Tuesday evening, tending to clear to the east. Some heavy showers affecting western coast of Wales and a few across Southwest England overnight. Further showers in Ireland, most in the north and west. Probably quite a damp night in Scotland with periods of rain through many areas, only the far north escaping them. Turning breezy in England and Wales as well as Ireland. Lows at 9 to 12C.

Wednesday
Low-pressure is expected to be centre just east of Scotland on Wednesday. This is going to be bringing an unsettled day to all areas. There will be cloud and outbreaks of rain through much of eastern, central and southern Scotland with only the far north possibly staying dry. Heavy and frequent showers, some of them thundery passing through Ireland and western parts of England as well as Wales. After a bright start the heavy showers will spread across the rest of England and Wales, these becoming thundery with the risk of hail and local torrential downpours. As is the nature of showers one or two places may escape them. Highs at 16 to 22C, warmest in the east. A moderate to fresh westerly wind in the south.

Thursday
The wind flow tending to turn more to the west or north west through Thursday. This will allow the front to sink southwards bringing some showery outbreaks of rain into southern Scotland and eventually to northern England and Ireland. A chance of a few thundery showers across England and Wales but some sunny spells as well. Turning brighter across central and northern parts of Scotland, although one or two showers just affecting northern coast, Orkney and Shetland. Highs at 15 in the far north, 22C in the south.
