Cloudy through northern England and Scotland this morning. Some outbreaks of rain in northern England, a few spots of drizzle for northeast Scotland. Some cloud too in the far south of Ireland and southwest England. Elsewhere it should be drier and brighter, some sunny spells, the best in central and southern England, Wales and Ireland. This afternoon sees some showers developing in central and southern Scotland. A few spots of showery rain in northern England and the Midlands as well as eastern Ireland. Tending to be drier in Ireland and the west of the UK. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England..

Wednesday Night
Showers fading from southern Scotland and the hills of northern England this evening. Clear skies will be developing overnight for most areas. Thicker cloud will be affecting southwest Ireland later, bringing rain here. Drizzle may be over the Isles of Scilly by the morning too. Lows at 4 to 7C.
 

Thursday
A fair start to the day for most areas with some sunny spells. Thicker cloud in western Ireland with some rain in the southwest. This edges east through the morning, most of it light with fog on hills. Cloud increases in western Wales and western parts of England and Scotland too. The afternoon sees the rain turn more persistent in Ireland with some drizzle and low cloud in western Wales and the far west of Cornwall by evening. A scattered of showers develop in eastern England. Highs at 14 to 18C.

Friday
A rather cloudy day on Friday as a weak occluded front edges east before fading away. There will be lots of cloud for many areas, especially Scotland and the west of the UK. outbreaks of light rain and drizzle for many coasts and hills. Tending to be drier in central and southern areas with some bright spells developing. The afternoon sees further outbreaks of rain and drizzle in northern England and Scotland as well as over the hills of Wales, but again tending to get brighter in central and southern parts. Brighter too in western Scotland and Ireland. Starting to feel warm with highs at 21C in any sunshine in the south, 18C in Ireland, 14C in the cloudier areas of northern England and Scotland.
