Friday
A cold front passes southeast through the UK and Ireland early on Friday. This takes an area of showery rain with it, most of it fairly light. Brighter, cooler weather follows from the north with sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud. Showers for northern and western Scotland, some of these will be wintry. Staying mostly dry elsewhere. High temperatures at 5 to 8C for most.


Friday Night
Showers turn to rain over western Scotland and some of this spreads to eastern parts of the country. A dry night elsewhere across the UK and for Ireland with mostly cloudy skies and a breeze. Overnight lows widely at 2 to 5C, milder in the rain for western Scotland.
 


Saturday
High pressure on Saturday brings a cool but mostly dry day away from Scotland. A cloudy day on the whole though eastern areas could see some spells of sunshine. Dry for most, although western and northern parts of Scotland will continue to see some outbreaks of rain. These occasionally spread to the east. High temperatures ranging from 5 to 9C.
 


Sunday
High pressure to the south brings a risk of mist and fog in southern England. A cold and cloudy day for much of England and Wales with a chance of some drizzle for western Wales. A southwest flow in Scotland, Ireland and northern England brings cloud, stronger winds and some rain or drizzle over western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Breezy with highs at 6 to 11C.
